The mission of Team Tacodeli is to foster a community of cyclists who ride in the Texas MS 150, and, through that, fundraise to support the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. Team Tacodeli encourages riders to garner lifelong friendships through cycling and raise awareness about MS.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. It can result in diminished cognition, partial paralysis, and temporary blindness.
The cause of MS is still unknown – scientists believe the disease is triggered by an as-yet-unidentified environmental factor in a person who is genetically predisposed to respond.
The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease.
Join us May 2nd and 3rd for the 2020 Texas MS 150. The Texas MS 150 is an extraordinary experience marked by passion, inspiration, determination and fun. Feel the electricity at the starting line and the remarkable support throughout your journey as we unite in our mission to end MS.
In October 2016, Team Tacodeli was honored by the MS Society at their annual Leadership Conference with the Circle of Distinction Award for raising over 1 million dollars for the Society!
